The brief: A completely blank canvas: compacted builder’s subsoil and a temporary fence. The clients wanted a low-maintenance, contemporary space their children could play in, beautiful year-round.
Our solution: Full ground preparation with a compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base (typically 100-150mm, depending on ground conditions), a large-format porcelain patio in warm grey with a precision-cut charcoal border, and a generous play lawn in premium turf.
The result: Completed in two weeks. “Exactly what we dreamed of” — and two neighbour referrals since.

Retaining Wall & Porcelain Patio — Knutsford Road, Wilmslow

The brief: A steeply sloping garden that had defeated a previous landscaper, who quoted to level it without addressing the structure. The family needed usable space that was engineered to last.
Our solution: A two-tier design with a substantial retaining wall on deep concrete foundations, drainage aggregate and a land-drain channel behind — so water pressure can never build against the structure.
The result: A garden that was unusable for years became a multi-level space the whole family enjoys. The structural quality drew particular praise.

Indian Stone Driveway — Cheshire

The brief: An overgrown, cracked tarmac driveway that had become an eyesore. The brief: a premium natural stone drive to match the property’s character and last decades with minimal upkeep.
Our solution: Complete excavation of the old surface, new compacted hardcore sub-base, full sand-and-cement bed, calibrated Indian sandstone in a mixed-size pattern with a kandla grey border and drainage channels.
The result: Kerb appeal transformed — multiple compliments from neighbours within days of completion.

Period Property Garden Renovation — Eaton House, Congleton

The brief: A substantial period property needing a full garden renovation that respected the heritage of the house — mature trees and overgrown borders handled sensitively alongside new hard landscaping.
Our solution: Careful clearance retaining the best mature planting, new natural sandstone pathways linking the house terrace to a sheltered seating area, and raised beds in reclaimed brick for accessible planting.
The result: An overwhelming garden became beautiful and manageable — with its character preserved and renewed.

Garden Transformation — Violetway, Holmes Chapel

The brief: A neglected rear garden with failing decking and fence panels, to be replaced with a stylish, contemporary outdoor living space for a young family.
Our solution: Complete clearance, a new porcelain entertaining patio, a curved lawn edged in Corten steel, close-board fencing with trellis toppers, and a rendered raised bed as the centrepiece.
The result: Delivered on time and on budget — and already recommended to the clients’ friends in the village.
